Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Integrated Service Center

Ryan Companies partnered with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin to create a beautiful new warehouse distribution facility with an office to serve as a hub for the network’s numerous operations. Roughly two months after the start of construction, the Froedtert team re-evaluated the needs of their fast-growing organization and rethought their vision for the project. They realized that the facility should serve a broader array of functions, and the project quickly evolved to include information technology services.

Ryan welcomed and embraced this challenge. Our deep and longstanding dedication to integrated project delivery and the wide range of services we bring together under one roof were central to minimizing the impact these changes would have on the timeline and the budget. We pulled together members of the project team and began integrating review periods and key decision dates for the redesign. We also reworked submittals, approvals and long lead-time processes while modifying the lease, redesigning the interior and adjusting the schedule and materials procurement processes.

Today the sophisticated center is helping to support the robust business needs of this highly regarded health organization. It’s enabled Froedtert to consolidate its medical supply distribution functions, printing operations, supply chain functions and other services, all into one central location. The facility also has tremendous physical and functional flexibility, such as a second floor with a concrete deck that provides security and an area for future office expansion. The Ryan team will also be providing building management and maintenance services designed to protect and increase the long-term value of this important asset.
