Acciona Energy's first North American plant
Upon expanding operations into the United States and already having a back-log of sales, Acciona Energy selected Ryan to partner with them on design and construction of their first North America assembly plant located in West Branch, Iowa. The 101,200-square-foot facility was a fast-track project in which Ryan took the lead in selecting construction means and methods that would allow for rapid construction.

With Acciona being a leader in renewable energy, Ryan incorporated sustainable and energy-efficient construction materials and practices. From the demolition of an existing building at the project site, Ryan recycled and reused over 3 million pounds of materials in the new facility. Energy efficient lighting and 70 percent recycled steel were incorporated into the new facility.
