A history of successful partnering
KJWW Engineering and Consultants, Ryan and OPN Architects have collaborated on a number of major projects over the years. When KJWW wanted to expand its existing corporate headquarters, it was natural for them to turn to these successful partnerships.

One of the goals for the addition was to provide more employee-friendly features, such as a courtyard and a coffee area. Another was to achieve LEED certification for the addition. The team is currently seeking silver level certification. Ryan ran an aggressive construction recycling program and used regional as well as recycled construction materials when possible. Some of the other LEED features include: water-efficient landscaping, low-emitting paints, carpets and other materials, daylighting, and parking for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles. Because KJWW is a structural, mechanical and electrical engineering company, they hand-picked the highly efficient mechanical/electrical systems.
