MN Dept of Revenue

Minnesota Department of Revenue

Completed six weeks ahead of schedule
The Department of Revenue building was the first new State of Minnesota office facility constructed in 30 years. This fast-track building, completed six weeks ahead of schedule, is the State of Minnesota’s first design-build project. Ryan was the only company to guarantee the completion date with a severe penalty provision.

The Department of Revenue building is divided into two basic areas, a larger four-story office with a fifth-floor penthouse and a three-story lobby and plaza. The exterior is constructed of precast concrete in varied colors, finishes and textures, along with judicious use of metal and mullioned windows.

Adding to its utility, a five-level parking ramp with parking for 944 vehicles adjoins the Department of Revenue facility and is accessible from the office building via a tunnel.
