The building incorporates two “bookend” masses divided by a slim, engaging entry. By using large sliding planar elements and wrapped glazing, the eye is drawn to the dramatic vertical main entry and lobby. Modular high quality and durable materials were utilized to save installation time and reduce waste, accommodating budget and schedule restraints without sacrificing the aesthetic impact of the building. Ryan’s civil engineers also created a sustainable site solution through on-site ponding and treatment. The building was also situated to allow for maximum solar exposure capturing solar heat during winter. This will assist in lowering energy costs during the long winter months in upstate New York.
