Transoma Medical
Up-and-coming medical device company builds corporate headquarters
Transoma Medical is a growing biomedical device company which manufactures a wireless, implantable device that monitors heart activity for patients who suffer unexplained fainting. To accommodate the company’s expected growth, Transoma chose Ryan’s Northwest Quadrant development to locate its new corporate headquarters and a potential second phase.
Northwest Quadrant is a brownfield redevelopment; a portion of which was a former dump remediated by the City of New Brighton. To meet Transoma’s short timeframe — a completed build-to-suit within 14 months — the Ryan/Transoma project team simultaneously developed the shell building and interior systems, obtained city permits and approvals and acquired Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) approval to begin construction as quickly as possible.
