Ryan transformed site challenges to amenities
Ryan successfully created a shopping destination area for the residents of Tinley Park, Illinois. In order to develop the site as a community shopping center, Ryan created 53 acres of off-site mitigation, including existing wetlands, to enhance and preserve the area’s watershed. Ryan continued the effort on-site by developing a unique, state-of-the-art storm water detention and infiltration system. The design-build team integrated the aesthetic of the wetland and surrounding prairie theme of Tinley Park’s downtown in the buildings' design. Ryan incorporated brick and rock face on the exterior of the buildings and created pleasing walkways accentuated by ornamental lighting. Brookside Marketplace’s retail partners include SuperTarget, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michaels, PetSmart, Ulta3, Kohl’s and Office Max.
