Ryan steps-in to create success Ryan converted an existing 162,000-square-foot warehouse into a two-story bright, attractive e-commerce facility with 80,000 square feet of high-tech office space for C.H. Robinson Worldwide. Previous to Ryan’s involvement, C.H. Robinson had pursued a traditional design-bid-build delivery method that, if left unchanged, would have resulted in a project substantially over budget and behind schedule. Ryan took over the design programming and kept to the original turnover date, completing the design and construction on time and on budget.
Dynamic space for young professionals The design included a great deal of natural light in the work areas. This was achieved by adding eight large skylights, dozens of full height windows and new indirect lighting system. Opening up walls also allowed daylight to stream into the space while providing a flexible floor plan. The interior was further enhanced through the addition of curvilinear spaces, bright colors, granite and slate accents and cherry-veneered millwork.
