Community Memorial Medical Commons

A medical office campus in a premier location
Filling a need in the Menomonee Falls/Milwaukee market, Ryan developed Community Memorial Medical Commons, a two-building medical office and surgical center campus in Menomonee Falls, WI. There are two three-story 63,000-square-foot buildings that are both 100% leased by Froedtert & Community Health. The first building houses a primary care outpatient facility with a sophisticated radiology department, laboratory and a variety of medical specialties. The second building is the first’s mirror reflection, continuing its primary care use and housing a sleep clinic and physicians’ offices.

In designing the entire campus, Ryan placed great emphasis on the quality of the architecture and building materials. Architectural features encourage an integration of traditional and contemporary design and a preference toward native materials rather than prescribing a particular style. Such materials include structural glass curtain wall, brick, prairie stone, specialty concrete, architectural concrete masonry units and other comparable materials. The buildings make a crisp, distinct impression, allowing easy identification from several directions and at a distance. The Wisconsin Concrete Masonry Association (WCMA) awarded Ryan a 2008 Excellence in Masonry Award for Community Memorials distinctive mix of stone, masonry and glass.
