Ryan continues to meet Delta Dental's construction needs
Delta Dental of Iowa is the largest dental benefits provider in the state of Iowa. To accommodate their continuing growth, the company decided to construct a new corporate headquarters in centrally located Urbandale, Iowa. They chose Ryan to oversee design and construction of the one-story, 26,500-square-foot facility based on a successful relationship established between Ryan and Delta Dental of Illinois — sister company to Delta Dental of Iowa — on their headquarters building. The class “A” office building meets Delta Dental’s current and future space needs with room for expansion, an efficient open floor plan and a healthy indoor environment for employees. 

Partner OPN Architects and Ryan designed and constructed the building to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver level certification. The facility incorporates a significant amount of natural light and utilizes a highly energy-efficient geothermal heating and cooling system. Ryan delivered the building on budget and on schedule despite the worst winter, spring and summer for precipitation on record in Urbandale.
