Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel

Ryan provides development assistance
Ryan provided full design-build services on Isle of Capri's Waterloo, Iowa, casino that includes associated restaurants and entertainment space and a 194-room hotel. In addition, Ryan assisted with the land acquisition and with the negotiation of city infrastructure improvements to the property. The entire project was a public/private venture involving the current land owner, The City of Waterloo, Blackhawk Gaming Association as well as Isle of Capri.

Because Iowa gaming regulations mandates all gaming activities must occur over water, Ryan and the design team had to explore various options of how to build a casino without a major waterway. The result is an attractive, cost-effective casino structure suspended over a six-acre man-made lake located on a 50-acre undeveloped parcel of land.
