NAU Conference Center

Northern Arizona University Conference Center

A unique collaboration
As a part of the campus's master plan, Northern Arizona University had been considering an on-campus hotel and conference center to complement its hospitality program for some time. In conjunction with the City of Flagstaff, NAU is creating a development to meet both their conference center needs. Ryan is providing Construction-Manager-at-Risk services on the conference center portion of the project as well as design assistance through cost and constructability reviews.

The 40,000 square-foot conference center will be connected through a sky bridge to the newly developed hotel. The two buildings will share a core as well as a 400-stall, four-level parking structure. The conference center is LEED-inspired with a number of sustainability features. The site was also a brownfield, so Ryan performed extensive site remediation - excavating from the entire site's soil six- to ten-feet deep and replacing it with new soil.
