Ryan was chosen to restore extensive hurricane damage at premier resort
On August 13, 2004, Hurricane Charley hit Florida's Gulf coastline and ravaged Captiva and Sanibel Islands. South Seas Resort is located at the north end of Captiva and is a 330-acre, four-star island resort built in the late 1970s that features two miles of beach.
The massive scope of the restoration work included the building exteriors, interior mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEPs) and drywall work. The Ryan team was based on-site throughout the project to focus on continual communication with the eight separate condo associations comprising 17 buildings and 374 individual condo units that were spread out over the northernmost two miles of the island.
