Attractive design and efficient floor plan
The Minnesota Chapter of The Nature Conservancy leased 20,910 square feet of space in River Parkway Place located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The attractive building was designed with a glass and pre-cast curtain wall system and has efficient floor plate configurations. The Nature Conservancy's space incorporates a variety of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. The reception area is finished with a Douglas Fir wide plank wood floor reclaimed from the Bayonne Military Base, Bayonne, New Jersey. Environmentally friendly-engineered panels complete the reception desk and planter. These panels consist of a unique bio-based material created from agricultural fibers utilizing both waste products and renewable resources. The various beams and columns throughout the space are constructed from woods acquired through the sustainable forestry initiative program.
