Ryan delivers on performance, schedule and budget
Based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, UnitedHealth Group offers a modern, adaptable, innovative and inclusive system of health care services. When it was time to renovate its corporate finance division offices, UnitedHealth chose Ryan to complete the two-phase project.
As the renovation would take place in a live environment, Ryan wanted to ensure employees were neither disturbed by the noise and odor from construction nor their work routines adversely affected. This was somewhat complicated by the lack of transition space for the corporate finance team. As a solution, Ryan constructed a painted and insulated temporary partition to keep UnitedHealth Group’s personnel cordoned off from the construction.
To promote sustainability, UnitedHealth Group chose DIRTT (Doing It Right This Time) demountable partitions. These partitions are made in a sustainable manufacturing process and allow for easy re-installation to reduce churn cost and waste. The DIRTT walls were a unique schedule challenge as the lead-time was long, and they required a custom fit. There was no room for mistakes to meet the aesthetic and schedule objectives. Ryan drew in the dimensions of the walls prior to beginning construction to ensure the measurements for the walls were as accurate as possible.
