Upsher-Smith Laboratories is a leader in the field of branded generic drugs. Among other products, Upsher-Smith developed a controlled release technology applicable to many pharmaceutical compounds. The corporate headquarters facility is a state-of-the-art office, laboratory and warehouse that incorporates the latest technology and building techniques. Upsher-Smith's specific design requirements and extensive FDA guidelines directed much of the construction activities including specialized dust and particle filters; workstations with deionized water, compressed air and vacuum systems; sealed floors; and epoxy coated walls and ceilings, all built for optimum cleanliness and environmental control.
