Virdi Eye Clinic

Virdi Eye Clinic and Laser Vision Center have provided a full spectrum of general and specialty ophthalmological care to the Quad Cities area for more than 30 years. Dr. Virdi and his associates chose Ryan and its subsidiary, Design Architectural Services, to design and construct their new clinic based on Ryan’s design aesthetic and integrated project approach.

Dr. Virdi’s team came to Ryan with a clear vision of what they wanted for their new facility – a dramatic building instantly recognizable within the community. The project team held programming meetings after normal business hours to ensure Dr. Virdi’s team could actively participate without disruption to their medical practice. The result is a building that not only achieves their aesthetic goals, but their functional and budget goals as well. Dr. Virdi’s team had established a square-foot price on day one, and Ryan achieved this goal by maximizing square footage and balancing the use of materials throughout the design.

Design Architectural Services’ architects incorporated as many recyclable materials as possible. They also utilized a white rubber roof for its reflective qualities. Energy-efficient lighting was integrated throughout along with programmable thermostats.
