It was our focus on building positive relationships with our customers and earning repeat business from them that brought us to the southwestern part of the United States in the early 1990s. Ryan Companies US, Inc. opened its Arizona office in 1994 in Phoenix with just three employees to complete work on four stores for Target, which was expanding its presence in Arizona. The small Phoenix-based team coordinated the construction of two stores in Tucson, one in Flagstaff and one in Phoenix.
From this initial beginning, the Arizona office quickly began taking on significantly more office and industrial projects as the Phoenix area experienced rapid commercial growth, including a 400,000-square-foot distribution center for KB Toys in Glendale and a 40,000-square-foot office building for NCS in Mesa..
