After rooting successfully in Phoenix, the clear direction for Ryan was to keep moving west, and to bring the Ryan difference to a hot real estate market. Because of Ryan’s long history of proven delivery methodology, we felt confident we were up to the challenge to deliver coast to coast.

Matt Reid, our Vice President of Development, had been with Ryan for seven years in his native Chicago. He believed wholeheartedly in the strength behind Ryan’s mission and principles, and was more than willing to help bring the Ryan brand to San Diego. Robbie Knight had served as the Project Manager on a regional office building for The Hartford in Santee, California. The project came in on time and on budget, we thoroughly delighted the customer and, of equal importance, we built the basis for healthy relationships with subcontractors and design consultants in the process. Robbie, a California native, believed in the prospect of growth for Ryan in California as well, so he joined Matt Reid as Division Manager.
