Ryan Companies US, Inc. Opens Southeast Division

TAMPA , Fla. (June 29, 2006) — Ryan Companies US, Inc., a national commercial real estate firm headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn., announces the opening of its Southeast Division, located at 101 E. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 2450. Ryan sees a growing demand in the Southeast region of the U.S. and the Tampa office will provide full-service design-build, development and property management services throughout Florida, Georgia and the entire Southeast, according to President of the Southeast Division, Kent Carlson.

“Our goal at Ryan is to partner with customers, brokers, subcontractors and communities that we can work with long-term,” Carlson said. “Our Tampa location provides us the opportunity to continue relationships established with our customers in other areas of the country who want an expanded presence in the Southeast. Our mission is to build lasting relationships with customers and with our design-build delivery system; we feel we can build great relationships with new customers here in the Southeast as well.”

The 4,000-square-foot office was started by six in-house Ryan team members from around the country, including Kent Carlson, president, Southeast Division, Minneapolis, Minn.; Steve Kingery , vice-president of construction, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jody Byler, office/administrative manager, Des Moines, Iowa; John Schultz, senior project manager, Davenport, Iowa; Derek Speer, project manager, Chicago, Ill. and Andrea Larson, project assistant II, Minneapolis, Minn. The team has more than 60 years of combined experience and will be hiring talent from the local area as the business grows.

Projects Ryan has completed in Florida include a distribution facility for Robb & Stucky in Ft. Myer , the South Seas Resort Hurricane Restoration on Captiva Island and a distribution center for Graybar Electric in Miami. Nortrax Equipment Company in Riviera Beach is expected to be completed in November 2006 and Ryan will also begin construction on two Target retail stores later this year.
