MINNEAPOLIS (September 13, 2006) – Ryan Companies US, Inc. today announced that QLogic Corporation, a leading supplier of high performance storage networking solutions, has selected an eight acre site at the Dean Lakes development to build a new facility for the company’s Switch Products Group. Crews will begin work on the 110,000 square-foot building – designed by Ryan – in October and construction will be completed in September 2007. The new design center will bring 225 employees to Shakopee.

“With its proximity to the Downtown area, high quality of life and affordable amenities, Shakopee is an excellent location,” said Jesse Parker, vice president and general manager, Switch Products Group, QLogic. “We’re excited to be working with Ryan Companies and are looking forward to moving in as quickly as possible.”

Ryan, the lead developer of Dean Lakes , will also oversee construction of the new building, which will house office, research and development space for the company’s Switch Products Group. QLogic and Ryan have worked to add several features to the space’s design, including an outdoor patio area for company barbecues, a fitness facility, and designated motorcycle parking for the numerous motorcycle enthusiasts within the Switch Products Group.

Covering more than 250 acres, Dean Lakes is one of the largest mixed-use developments in the Twin Cities’ southwest region. When completed, it will blend residential, retail, industrial and office space and feature 84 acres of dedicated conservation land that will include an extensive regional trail system, parklands and wetlands.
