MINNEAPOLIS (March 16, 2007) – Ryan Companies US, Inc. announced that it has promoted Collin Barr to President of the company’s Minnesota Region.

“Since Collin started at Ryan, he has diligently supported and led efforts to position this office for the best possible success with our customers,” said Jim Ryan, Ryan Companies US, Inc. “No matter the project, Collin is intensely focused on delivering results that delight our customers and key stakeholders.”

Barr joined Ryan 10 years ago as a developer, and has led numerous projects in both suburban and urban areas for companies such as Target Corporation, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and The Hartford. His most recent projects have focused on suburban mixed use development, national corporate build to suit projects and several hospitality projects including the Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown Hotel, the Westin Minneapolis Hotel, and the Westin Edina Galleria Hotel and Residences.

In his new role, Barr will provide executive leadership for the Minnesota Region holding responsibility for the development, design and construction divisions of this regional office. “Our customers rely on Ryan to either serve as part of a larger team, or be the entire team,” Barr explained. “We have the flexibility and capability to do both, with an integrated develop-design-build construction service model that’s adaptable to any customer’s needs. The challenge I enjoy most is assembling and then empowering the right team to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Barr holds a Bachelors degree in business administration from Bethel University, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and CORENET, and serves on the Bethel University Foundation Board, the Hospitality House Boys & Girls Club Board, and the Minneapolis Downtown Council Board.
