MINNEAPOLIS (December 3, 2007) – Ryan Companies US, Inc. today announced that three tenants have signed long-term leases at its Grove Health medical office building located near the intersection of I-94 and Maple Grove Parkway in Maple Grove. The new state-of-the-art medical facility, designed by Ryan, is part of The Grove, a 157-acre mixed-use development that blends retail, medical and office space featuring pedestrian trails, parklands and wetlands.
“Grove Health is an integral part of the medical services provided in The Grove,” said Joel Schurke, Director of Development, Ryan Companies US, Inc. “This building supports the development of a ‘health village’ that will be used by people who live and work in this growing community.” Ryan carefully timed the development of Grove Health, which is located one block away from the new Maple Grove Hospital currently under construction. When the hospital opens its doors in 2009, Grove Health tenants will be ideally positioned to grow with new patients’ healthcare needs.
Ryan worked with commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield to find tenants for the building. Grove Health Dental, a new family and cosmetic dentistry practice located on the second floor, was the first tenant to sign a long-term lease. Medical Advanced Pain Specialists (MAPS) signed a long-term lease for the first floor of the building; their space will feature a surgery center, clinic and therapy pool. Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare also signed a long-term lease for space on the second floor. The group will operate a physical therapy clinic and a therapy playground at the building.
“Opening at Grove Health will give us great visibility and proximity to a variety of medical facilities, retail and office locations within The Grove development,” said Aram Mazhary DDS and Ryan Francis DDS of Grove Health Dental. “And Grove Health provides us a great space that meets our needs and will help provide our patients with a warm, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.”
Grove Health features high-quality architecture and uses traditional and contemporary design elements. The two-story, 41,000 rentable-square-foot Grove Health facility’s overall design complements the native features of the site including the use of brick and cultured stone. The interior design involves warmth and calm through the use of natural wood, cast glass, ambient lighting and naturally-toned walls, slate tiles and carpet.
The Grove Health facility currently has 9,300 square feet – that can be subdivided – of space available for lease on the second floor.
