Randy Gould Joins Ryan as Director of Architecture

MINNEAPOLIS (November 20, 2008) – Ryan Companies US, Inc. announced it has hired Randy Gould as director of architecture for the design-build/developer/real estate manager’s growing Architecture and Engineering group. Gould brings 17 years of experience as an architect, combined with 7 years of experience in construction, to support Ryan’s development teams as they integrate the design process into the programming, planning, management and technical delivery of a customer’s project.

As director of architecture in Ryan’s Architecture and Engineering group, Gould is responsible for the team’s successful execution and delivery of Ryan’s integrated design solution from conceptualization through occupancy. This includes team operations, programming and planning, project management and technical design delivery utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM), with a focus on overall design quality and performance. He works closely with the project team and his customers in the early planning stages of a project, assisting them with design decisions that will directly impact their building’s utility, aesthetics, lifecycle costs, constructability, operations, sustainability, budget and schedule.

 Gould most recently worked as director of operations, associate, at SmithGroup. Prior to that, Gould was a studio operations leader at Cunningham Group and a project architect for Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc.

Gould most recently completed work on the FBI Minneapolis Field Office  in Brooklyn Center, Minn., Isleta Hotel and Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a campus expansion at General Mill World Headquarters in Golden Valley, Minn.

Gould is an Associate with the American Institute of Architects, an Advisory Board member with Hennepin Technical College’s Construction and Building Trades, and was a founding member of Itasca County Habitat for Humanity.
