MINNEAPOLIS (Oct. 30, 2008) – Gabbert & Beck, Inc., and Ryan Companies US, Inc., announced the formal grand opening of the four-star modern hotel and luxury condominium, the Westin Edina Galleria Hotel and Residences in Edina, Minn. This 18-story, 446,000-square-foot facility features luxury hotel rooms and provides full-service condominium living with hotel amenities. The Westin Edina Galleria is connected through an underground climate-control walkway to the retail lifestyle and shopping center, the Galleria.
The luxury condominium has 82 units, ranging from 900 to 3,090 square feet, with prices ranging from approximately $400,000 to $1.8 million. The penthouses feature 10-foot ceilings and added square footage. All condominium units contain large glass windows which expand from floor to ceiling offering a variety of views from the downtown Minneapolis skyline to the Saint Paul Cathedral. Residents have access to the hotel's amenities such as concierge service for daily needs and event planning, 24/7 room service and signature McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant. They also have access to maid and housekeeping services, plant watering, dog walking, grocery delivery, meal delivery from Galleria restaurants and access to the fitness center, meeting rooms and an outdoor courtyard. The initial group of residents has already begun moving into their residences.
The four-star rated Westin Edina Galleria has 225 rooms which make up the first seven floors of the building. The base of the hotel is a dark brown brick, offering an aesthetically pleasing blend with the existing Galleria facade. The hotel portion of the tower has a strong horizontal expression with polished precast panels and glass. The expression then changes at the condominium level to curtain wall and metal, which extends into the hotel portion on the northwest corner.
The hotel opened prior to last month’s Republican National Convention and hosted the Kansas Delegation during the event.
Gabbert & Beck partnered with Ryan, the development manager and design-builder for the project, in creating a new exciting addition to the Twin Cities’ southwestern suburbs. “The Westin Edina Galleria is the first hotel with residences in Edina,” said Warren Beck, president, Gabbert & Beck. “From a condo perspective, this is truly a unique living experience because residents enjoy all the conveniences and amenities of a hotel and convenient access to a host of shopping and dining opportunities.”

The Westin Edina Galleria is located near the intersection of France Avenue and 69th Street, offering close proximity to downtown Minneapolis.
