Jim Ryan was inducted (posthumously) as an innagural member of the Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame.

The Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame award was established by the Shenehon Center for Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business to "honor and perpetuate the names and outstanding accomplishments of real estate leaders who have made a significant contribtion in real estate and demonstrated care and concern for impoving their community as a business leader." In addition to Jim, six other inductees were awarded that night, including Tony Bernardi, Lloyd Engelsma, Gerald Rauenhorst, William Reiling, and Sam Thorpe, Sr. 

The award ceremony took place the evening of Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Jim's son, Sean Ryan, accepted the award on Jim's behalf.
