PHOENIX (April 11, 2011) – John Strittmatter, President of the Ryan Companies US, Inc., Southwest Division was recognized with NAIOP’s highest individual award, the Lifetime Achievement Award. Strittmatter joins other valley real estate professionals, Joe Porter, Jerry Monkarsh and Ed Forst, to name a few, as past recipients of this prestigious award.

Strittmatter is recognized in the valley as a strong and consistent real estate executive as well as a compassionate community leader. He opened Ryan’s first office in Phoenix in 1994 and has been at its helm ever since. Under his leadership, Ryan has constructed and developed over 18 million square feet in the Greater Phoenix area. This includes projects that have changed the face of the region such as One North Central (the former Phelps Dodge Tower), 3900 Camelback Center in Phoenix and the Avnet CMG U.S. Corporate Headquarters building in Tempe, AZ.

He has been Chairman of the Board of Regents and a member of the Board of Trustees at Brophy College Preparatory since 2001.
