Ryan Companies Promotes Casey Hankinson to Vice President of Development
MINNEAPOLIS (May 31, 2011) – Casey Hankinson has been promoted to vice president of development for the Midwest Region of Ryan Companies US, Inc. Hankinson will lead the industrial development group in Ryan’s Minneapolis office, and spearhead the pursuit of national build-to-suit projects, such as distribution centers and regional operational centers.
Over the last three-and-a half-years, Hankinson has worked at Ryan’s Minnesota office, establishing a strong track record for building customer relationships and executing exceptional corporate build-to-suit solutions. For example, Hankinson led development of the 350,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility that Ryan Companies completed last fall for Toro Corporation in Tomah, Wisconsin. He has also served as “executive in charge” of Ryan’s relationships with Rasmussen Business College and Malt-O-Meal, managing the delivery of multiple projects for both firms across the U.S.
Before joining Ryan Companies, Hankinson distinguished himself as an industrial real estate broker at United Properties (now North Marq Real Estate Services). He also is widely known in Minnesota hockey circles: Hankinson was a star player at Edina High School, a two-year captain at the University of Minnesota and a National Hockey League professional with the Anaheim Ducks. Mike Max, a broadcast journalist for WCCO-TV and radio, is among many who have followed Hankinson’s careers in both hockey and business. “He is one of those guys that you know will always succeed no matter what he chooses to pursue,” Max said. “He brings an unusual combination of competitive drive, hard work and leadership to everything he does.”
Collin Barr, president of Ryan Companies Midwest Region, added, “Casey has developed a broad base of strong relationships and proven his ability to deliver excellent project solutions. He has earned this new level of responsibility.”
