Ryan Companies and Grand Living Advancing Third Iowa Senior Living Project

Ryan Companies US, Inc. and Grand Living are proposing their third senior living project located in Iowa and the first in the city of West Des Moines. The 5-story, 174-unit project will be located at 610 South 51st street across from the Hy-Vee Grocery Store.  As with the first two Iowa projects, this will also offer an age-in-place concept that minimizes any moves residents need to make.

Centrally located in West Des Moines, the new project will have easy access to 35W, is close to Jordan Creek Town Center and has an abundance of retail and services ideal for an age-in-place concept.  The West Des Moines senior living community will have all the amenities that Grand Living clients expect: three restaurants; the Grand Spa and Salon featuring fitness, indoor pool, beauty salon, massage and personal trainers; a performance theater; library; club room and other multi-use spaces.  There will be a wide variety of unit types ranging from studios up to two bedrooms with dens.  The community will offer independent, assisted and memory care services.

Ryan Companies expects construction to begin in the second quarter of 2019 and completion in late fall of 2020.
