When building adjacent to an existing hospital, constant communication and quick turnaround are more important than ever. With an aggressive timeline and sensitive demands, Mercy Medical Center turned to longtime partner Ryan to help manage the construction of their new Hall-Perrine Cancer Center. Tapping into our previous experience as design-builders of six Mercy Medical Center urgent care/primary care facilities, the Ryan team developed a fast-tracked, phased design and pre-construction schedule. In order to meet the tight deadlines, our team proactively procured key long lead time components and leveraged our working relationships with city officials to get over regulatory hurdles, allowing the project to be completed ahead of the initial goal.

Created in close collaboration with OPN Architects and HGA Architects and Engineers, the new facility features an image recovery center; new private, family and community-centered chemotherapy infusion rooms; a retail pharmacy; cancer resource center; meditation space and a boutique featuring beautiful scarves and wigs. In order to accommodate Mercy’s long-term goals for growth, the second floor was designed to allow space for a 23,500-SF future expansion.

What our customers are saying

  • The project required a very aggressive timeline given competitive conditions, but Ryan completed it in advance of the initial goal. Communication was necessary for the project to be successful and Ryan met this need in an exceptional manner.
