Tim Bicknell

Tim’s 20+ year career is driven by a deep sense of curiosity and enjoyment of the challenging, surprising aspects of architectural design. In his role as Director of Design, he focuses on developing and maintaining a strong design culture and leading design efforts, while collaborating across disciplines within Ryan’s unique integrated process. He takes a rigorous, iterative approach to the process, in order to find solutions that are inventive, highly functional and cost-efficient, and he has led projects ranging from corporate office and multifamily environments to cultural and healthcare facilities. Tim believes that diverse expertise on building typologies contributes to insights that customers may not have thought about, strengthening value design and resulting in outcomes that exceed expectations. In the past decade he has won the AIA Minnesota Young Architects Award and the AIA National Young Architects Award.
