Ryan is helping to expand McKesson’s presence in the Valley by constructing twin, two-story buildings for the Fortune 500 company at the Chaparral Commerce Center. McKesson is a pharmaceutical distributor and healthcare information technology company, and the fifth highest revenue generating company in the United States.
McKesson sought a new location that would provide easy access to the freeway, an abundance of solar-powered covered parking and employee amenities such as a cafeteria and gym. The Chaparral Commerce Center, which will be home to approximately 1,800 employees, is strategically located on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land in the heart of the Scottsdale Tech Corridor.
Construction of the two office buildings took just 15 months. In order to accommodate McKesson and its employees, Ryan provided a phased turnover which allowed McKesson to move into the second level of both buildings prior to completion. This initiated an enhanced safety program and the team finished the first two buildings with more than 115,400 safe hours.
The new, state-of-the-art campus is a modern workspace that promotes collaboration and wellness.
The facility features LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) certification and was constructed according to WELL Building Standards, an evidence-based system focused on building features that impact health and well-being.
A third building is underway.
