Project Overview
After Ryan utilized its design-build approach to meet a variety of complex, technical needs for Upsher-Smith’s previous pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, we were brought back for another key project: their corporate headquarters. The facility is a state-of-the-art office, laboratory and warehouse that incorporates the latest technology and building techniques.
Upsher-Smith had very specific design requirements, complete with extensive FDA guidelines, so they required a design-builder who could understand the plan and then carry it out to the letter. Construction activities included the incorporation of specialized dust and particle filters; workstations with deionized water, compressed air and vacuum systems; sealed floors; and epoxy coated walls and ceilings—all built for optimum cleanliness and environmental control.
