For nearly 20 years, Tulare County veterans seeking outpatient healthcare services had a two-hour round-trip drive to receive treatment in Fresno. Discussions to create a new clinic in Visalia began back in 2016, and in 2023, Ryan Companies began the construction and remodel of the chosen site, a historic building in downtown Visalia.
The renovated facility features 17 examination rooms and specialized services, including optometry, podiatry, prosthetics, mental health care, imaging, and a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program offering battlefield acupuncture, massage therapy, and chiropractic care. Designed to serve approximately 5,000 veterans initially, the clinic has the capacity to expand services to an additional 36,000 veterans in the region, while also creating 60 new jobs.
