Ryan Companies US, Inc. has been selected as the general contractor for The Buttes Commerce Center, a two-building speculative industrial development totaling 233,479 square feet in Tempe, Ariz. The project, owned and developed by a private institutional real estate client, will be situated on a prime 13-acre site at 1401 South 52nd Street.
“Modern industrial users require highly flexible spaces, and that is exactly what we are building at The Buttes Commerce Center,” said Beau Brush, vice president of construction operations, Ryan Companies. “Our team is focused on seamless execution so that when the doors open, these buildings are structurally and operationally prepared for incoming tenants to start their buildouts without delay.”
The site’s strategic location offers regional connectivity and access, as it is located minutes from State Route 143, Interstate 10, U.S. Route 60 and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Lee & Associates has been selected by ownership to market and lease the project.

The development offers more than 340 parking stalls, state-of-the-art ESFR sprinkler systems, premier HVAC systems, 32-foot clear heights, more than 25 dock doors per building, and heavy power with 3,000 amps of 277/480V electrical service per building. Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) truck courts are also being built to withstand high-volume trailer traffic and heavy axle loads.
