When Avnet, a $10 billion technology company, one of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies (2013) and one of InfoWorld’s Top Sustainable Technology Leaders (2013), envisioned their new home in San Antonio, they pictured a standout office that would tell their story and reflect their values, while attracting new customers and promoting recruitment and retention. And they needed it delivered on an aggressive timeline.
Over the course of two projects Ryan had developed a solid relationship with Avnet. When this project came to the table Ryan’s team in Texas was the top choice. Our ability to successfully integrate our main services means we handle the details of the building while our customers handle the details of their businesses. For Avnet, our trademark unified approach also helped to reduce building operational costs because insights from building managers were incorporated into design and construction decisions before we even broke ground.
The $5.3 million project consists of two stories of Class A office space. When the firm decided they wanted to save as many of the site’s trees as possible, we altered the configuration, layout and location of the building, even incorporating some of the abundant rock on the site and making it part of the design. The project achieved LEED Certification and was named “Best Office Lease” by the San Antonio Business Journal.
