Grand Living at Tamaya

Beautifully located between city and sea— with easy access to retail, marinas and medical services—Grand Living Tamaya is the second senior living environment we’ve developed and built in Florida, in partnership with the Grand Living team. Walking through this vibrant, elegant setting, most visitors would never guess the issues we overcame to complete the project.

From the start, our development team exercised patience, persistence and diplomacy to relax seller resistance and negotiate the purchase, a three-year process. With acquisition complete, we began clearing the fully wooded site. To our surprise, what we thought would be a dry creek bed running through it turned out to be much larger, necessitating budgetary and schedule juggling while we corrected the soil. Meanwhile, because our company was not well known locally, we tapped regional resources and pulled in talented subcontractors from Tampa and Atlanta. Despite those hurdles—not to mention a couple of hurricanes and higher than average rainfall—we completed Grand Living Tamaya on schedule. The expansive, luxuriously amenitized environment now serves seniors in independent and assisted living, as well as memory care.
