Ryan Companies US, Inc. announces today the completion of four charter schools across the Southeast. Delivered in partnership with CSUSA, one of the country’s largest and highest-performing education management companies, and their development partner, Red Apple Development (Red Apple), each school is set to be operational this back-to-school season, which begins this month.
The charter schools completed in July include:
-Vermilion Charter Academy upper campus in Maurice, Louisiana: Marking the fourth phase of a K-12 campus, this delivery features two new buildings and a comprehensive sports complex that includes a jogging track, a multipurpose field with spectator stands, and baseball and softball fields.
-Academy of Classical Education at Covington serving grades K-8 in Covington, Louisiana: This milestone marks Ryan’s first school in the parish. Following exceptional enrollment success, CSUSA has fast-tracked construction on a high school addition to the campus, which is slated for delivery in 2027.
-Sarasota Classical Preparatory Academy in Sarasota, Florida: This K-8 campus is another addition to Ryan’s growing portfolio in Sarasota County, which has been a successful region for CSUSA. The campus features a multipurpose athletic field and a small amphitheater designed to serve as an outdoor classroom.
-Prodigy at Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida: Located on the same parcel as Sarasota Classical Preparatory Academy, this early learning center offers preschool education and conveniency to parents with children who attend both schools.
These charter school deliveries are the most recent in Ryan’s growing pipeline of K-12 work across the region, where Ryan has collaborated with Red Apple to deliver more than 60 projects, and more than 4 million square feet of learning space, serving tens of thousands of students.
“Our team is proud to deliver these four impactful new campuses to their communities in Florida and Louisiana,” said Max Bosso, vice president of real estate development, Ryan Companies. “We look forward to continuing our longstanding partnership with CSUSA as we break ground on several projects, bringing much-needed educational space to growing regions throughout the Southeast.”
In addition to these completions, progress is underway on the construction of five additional new builds and campus expansion projects across Florida, Louisiana and South Carolina.
The projects starting construction this year include:
-Discovery School at Rock Hill in Rock Hill, South Carolina (Ground broken)
-Academy of Classical Education at Covington in Covington, Louisiana (Anticipated Aug. 2026 start on phase two high school campus expansion and athletic facilities)
