Ryan's Southwest Region Recognized for Supplier Diversity

At Ryan, we’re committed to serving as a role model and change ambassador for diversity, equity, and inclusion within our company, industries, and communities. When it comes to construction, Ryan sets a 10% or greater Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (MWDBE) inclusion goal for all projects. This commitment led our Southwest region to be inducted into the Arizona Million Dollar Circle of Excellence (AZ MDCE) for the fourth year in a row. The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce  and the Phoenix MBDA Business Center recognizes organizations that have shown exceptional efforts in supplier diversity by spending more than $1 million in Arizona with minority and women-owned businesses.

“Every day, Ryan’s Southwest Emerging Business Inclusion team works to increase the participation of certified Minority, Women, Disadvantaged and Veteran-owned businesses on our private work,” said Elizabeth Campbell, national director, emerging business inclusion.

The AZ MDCE kicked off in 2012 and is modeled after the globally recognized Billon Dollar Roundtable, which launched in 2001 to recognize corporations that achieved spending of at least $1 billion with minority and woman-owned suppliers.

Through Ryan’s Emerging Business Inclusion program, we provide access to bidding, contracting and mentorship opportunities. Since 2014, Ryan has worked with more than 500 MWDBEs and increased MWDBE spend by 250% across the country.
